How do you know what the new HTC One is going to cost next month?
Does Verizon have a pre sale? How much? $199?

Basically all new phones on contract are $199 (except for the Note series, those are usually $299).

I've had the HTC One and currently use a Moto X. The HTC One has such a great feel to it; much better than anything else available (on par with an iphone 5 in build quality, probably). And the front-facing speakers produce much, much better sound than any other phone on the market. They do make it taller than it feels like it should be, though. The IR blaster built into the power button is great too, easy to set up and able to control pretty much any device. I used it to control a TV in a sports lounge in Las Vegas to turn up the volume of the game we were watching.

The Moto X feels excellent in hand. It's not aluminum like the One, but it fits comfortably in my hand and I like the size decrease over the One.

You couldn't go wrong with either for the money. I haven't tried the LG so I can't speak to that one.

I don't think I can justify paying 4x more for the new phone.
I am sure the 2013 phones (HTC One, or LGG2 are plenty good for me, stepping up from the Inc2.

I am probably going with the Lg G2 for $50.
That's a pretty safe bet, right?

Is there any downside to the LG G2?

Too many questions.
Play with the phone in stores and buy it.
There is no wrong choice, it is your preference.
They are all good phones. Get the G2 and be done with it. If you have been using the Inc2 for this long I don't think you are very concerned with having the latest OS. That and you are on verizon, so good luck getting the latest updates.

The latest OS is Android 4.4.2, FYI. LG has said the G2 will get the update by end of Q1 with Verizon being last to get it (as usual).

yeah 4.2.2 was what came on my LG G2 when I got it about a week ago. I struggled with the choice over the HTC One and LG too, finally I decided I was putting too much weight into just how good the HTC looks. The LG G2 matches anything that is coming out anytime soon. It was like spec for spec almost exactly the same as the S5.

Edit: Oh also the LG G2 hasnt been abandoned like a lot of other phones from last year, the Kitkat rollout is coming for it.

Thanks, I will drop by the store tomm and compare.
Sounds like LG G2 is the way to go.

KitKat is the upgrade for JellyBean?

Correct. Kitkat is 4.4, Jellybean is 4.1 through 4.3. I expect you're going to love your G2!

A bit about the screen size vs phone size: When I unboxed my Moto X, I was surprised to find that my Galaxy S2 (4.3" screen) wouldn't fit in the box the X came in. Both the G2 and the X have some of the best screen size to frontal area ratios.

I went to the store and aw the LG G2.
The size is acceptable, and if that's the only "downside",
then I will go for it.

Thanks to everyone who weighed in.

I've been a VZ customer for 15 years.
It's the only game in town for phone calls.

I just got the LG G2 for free today.
I have zero issues paying VZ $60/mo. for the next 2 years. (or 20 frankly)

Lg G2 is a huge upgrade from the Droid Inc2.
WAY faster. And now I'm on 4G, not 3G.
I think that means faster internet.
Love the bigger screen. I could even go bigger!
And the 2013 UI seem to be much slicker than the 2010 UI.

Thanks y'all for leading me to this choice.
