Galaxy S7 regular/edge owners roll call....

Got my package on Friday and been using everything over the weekend.

Chargers are pretty nice. Haven't tried timing them yet, but they work as fast as I'd need them too and it stays at 100% till taken off. Only issue is that one of the phones have a case with a magnetic slipon that prevents charging jntil removed, a minor issue compared to having to plug in.

With the new case I got, it's a slip over from the rear and has minor issue with b uh baking up the corners of the screen protector. Also the button covers do not have a raiser portion so it's a bit difficult to use them by feel alone.

On the kill me now side, looks like I somehow managed to get a pinhole sized ding in the home button.

My coworker who ordered an s7 about a week after me but from Verizon put in for the free gear s2 but received an apology from Verizon saying they ran out of watches and sent him a vr headset instead.

Yep, and he, like me, already had the Note 4 VR. So he really didnt need it. At least he could of flipped the watch for 150 or so and buy the S7 vr for 100 and have 50 profit.

Just received mine and, let me tell you - VERY impressed. Coming from an iphone 6s plus and samsung's pulled an apple: this is a refined, ergonomic, and solid piece of kit. hope the battery doesn't disappoint!

I haven't tested it, but I think if you configure the adoptable storage, you can make it the default save location for the raws. You'll understand what I mean after reading the link below. You'll probably want a UHS2 card as well.

Yeah it will ask if you want to use the card for photo/video storage upon insertion, now to get a 200GB card (mine's only 64GB).

Got an S7 Edge about a week ago and am digging it so far. I had an ASUS Zenfone 2, which was a nice phone and was by far the best/most powerful/etc smartphone I'd ever owned. But man, the screen on the S7 Edge is fricking amazing compared to even the Zenfone 2's.

I'm sorry, I didn't understand originally what you meant by adoptable storage. Now that I know, it would be preferred IF that card stays healthy.

Get a good card? Also, you can't move system apps so even if it hoses the base phone will still work. And with 200gb on tap, make sure you back up whatever you need regardless ya know? That said for shooting raw, I don't think there's a UHS2 200gb card, at least last I checked.

I'm using the Samsung leather cover and an Otterbox Strada (I'm liking the leather) depending on how much protection I feel the phone needs.

I'm pretty chuffed with both cases.

I like Spigen stuff generally.

I went with the Otterbox in the end because I couldn't find a great screen protector.

I generally don't like either cases or screen protectors but this phone really feels like it needs something.

Got the tough armor one. Probably going to look for a two piece case though as it keeps popping up the screen protector at the edges.
