QC, if it's sluggish, it's going back.

Got it for $150, if I keep it, will break the contract and put it on Straight Talk.

(LOL, what am I talking about, I've never returned a phone)

Will likely kill my Verizon contract too, I have a Republic Wireless with unlimited everything that gets a signal at work for $19, will likely replace the HTC Flyer I use with the Note.

That'll give me 2 lines with unlimited everything for $65/month.

I wish everyone would go prepaid and put some pressure on the carriers.

Let us know what you think. Note is a phone/tablet I would love to have. I think it bridges the size gap perfectly between the two and would make awesome travel/car device. The only negative I see is the Gingerbread OS and Samsung update. I'm on the fence whether I want to import one or not. I'm waiting til iPad3 announcement and MWC to get better idea what's on tap this year. I just don't to give Samsung money right now when I know they won't give the device the proper support it needs. Note 2 is probably the one to get based on SGS history.

what makes the 4s better than the SG SII?

Keyboard accuracy and usability is worlds better than any Android phone I've ever used (and there have been many, though I haven't played with ICS for more than 5 minutes). The phone hardly ever freezes and needs to be reset which I can't say for the other devices. And with the jailbreak I can do anything I want. Stability is not necessarily Android/Google's fault, I wish manufacturers would just stick with plain vanilla software and limit their add-ins to widgets and such.

Size is exactly the reason why I got the Note. It fits easily into my jeans pockets (not sure about the really tight jeans). It might be a little funny to talk on such a large phone, but talking actually only make up for less than 5% of my usage of a smartphone, and I can always use a BT headset. For the other 95% the 5.3" HD screen is such a pleasure to use. I cannot do one-handed typing on this phone though but it s not something I care, the big keyboard is just so much easier for me to use.

I work for AT&T and have been using one for a couple days... Going back to the regular GSII. Definitely not as smooth but that can be fixed with software tweaks but my main issue is that one handed operation is a no-go unless you have really big hands.. My hands are definitely not small and I can't text with one hand comfortably so that's huge deal breaker for me unfortunately. And it just looks goofy holding up to my head. :p Oh and battery life is pretty bad, about as bad or sometimes worse (probably because I've played with it more than the SII) as the standard SII. Still using the 4S as my main phone, can't seem to find something that trumps it in the usability/stability department.

please provide the tweaks.....

I have been researching rooting and overckocking this machine for a short while now. The overclock he linked above will add to your flash counter. This counter will indicate that your phone has been messed with which will void your warranty. There is currently no way to reset that counter. There is another way to root which will not increase your counter but it is not possible to overclock with that. So basically...the xda folks need a little more time to play around with this device

u get used to the note's size...

i have a note... all my friends who have S2's are majorly jealous because of the 5th program line and the screen size. When i stream'd a movie on it, their jaws just dropped and it was game over... if your into media... the note wins and slaps the S2 backwards and forwards silly.

Its not something which can fit inside a tight pair of jeans tho... lucky for me i usually wear a suit most of the week, so it fits nicely inside the inside pocket.

But dont let the size scare you... as i said, you get used to it pretty quickly... but its definitely not something small and cute like an iphone... so i guess u can call it a man phone.. :p *tim allen grunt*

Unless it's the At&t version of the Note. The Snapdragon Soc used in that version is vastly inferior at HD content playback compared to a Exynos powered Galaxy S2.

You are both right and wrong, right the Exynos is for sure what your want in the note and wrong in that you think the 1500mhz clocked Snapdragon can't handle HD.

I have a Note and was pissed when I found out they had pulled a swap on the Soc, but after having it for about 3 weeks I see now thats not an issue for me and the way I use the phone. Oh and freaking love the screen.

The Galaxy Note is huge... :) Saw a girl on the bus with it, man that phone was bigger than her hands... Good thing to note it's good for media playback.

Anyone use the note with Evernote? How is it with the pen?

Considering Note or HTC Flyer/View.
