I'm really ticked at T-Mobile for having the worst offer of any carrier. They have a 50% off with bill credits on trade-in, but for some unfathomable reason you still have to put $250 or $500 down. Ridiculous, and they're getting hammered on their social media about it.

I'll wait for the 10 (which will probably have 5G), and my Note8 will be paid off so I can just sell that.

Yeah, I'd say that having a Note 8 greatly reduces the pressure to get the 9 if you aren't getting an amazing deal. Might as well enjoy the phone you have and wait until there's a larger upgrade.

Samsung has released a new trailer video as below, which seems to confirm the rumors that Galaxy Note 9 will be equipped with a souped-up battery. This clip contains clearly a shot from rival Apple, showing how frustrating it is when your battery runs out and promising that Samsung's upcoming flagship product will save the day.

If the online noise can be believed, the Galaxy Note 9 will be equipped with a 4,000mAh battery, which is 20% higher than the Galaxy Note 8's 3,300mAh. It is the largest one in the history of Samsung smartphones.

It's not a rumor or online noise, Samsung already had their launch event and the specs are official: https://www.samsung.com/global/galaxy/galaxy-note9/specs/

Wish this was supported on project fi, the pixel 3xl is looking pretty terrible. I'd rather get this but I don't want to switch carriers really.

The "free" AKG headphones are garbage, as are most BT cans. The phone itself is great. The new pen works great as a music control remote. Cameras are great, not much different than the S9+ but the AI stuff works really nice. A couple of apps (I have 185 installed) don't work right but they also don't work on my LG G7 either so it's probably just a couple of crappy apps. So far I am digging it.

Just picked my pre-order unlocked Blue 512GB from best buy...did the submission for the AKG headphones is really all I have done so far...will play around more tonight...

If the average consumer thinks Beat headphones are the best, surely these AKG have to better???

Don't know as I use my mdrv6 and audio technica mh50x mostly. I've listened too beats and for the $ was not convinced they were good. The "free" akg can just lack power even in wired mode.

Took me a while, but I finally caved in and ordered the Note 9, 512GB.

Currently, Samsung is offering up to $600 trade-in on qualifying devices- that helped me bite the bullet.

Ocean blue! 😀

Heh! The wonderful ridiculousness of 768GB in my pocket is setting in. My new Note 9 fully setup, all my usual apps installed and I'm using a whopping 1% of the internal storage.

I doubt I'll even bother with a 512GB SD card until sometime in the future when they're cheap.

It's beautiful isn't it?

Samsung now gives $600 for Galaxy S9+ and iPhone X when traded in for a Note 9. I have both, which one should I trade in if I want to get a Note?

I traded in my Note 8 for the 9 and kept the S9+. If I were you I would trade the S9+. Note 9 trumps it and you get to keep the iphone x. Plus the X will sell for more $$$ probably.

I've decided to trade in the 9+. If it were purely for my use I would have kept it, but now that I'm getting a Note I think the resale value of the X had to be taken into account. Thank you all for the help!

This is going to be my first Note that I'll be using as a daily driver since the Note 3. I'm excited.

Smart move. The X will sell for more, definitely.

I've had a Note 2, 3, 4, 7, 8 and now 9.

Have to say the 9 is the best of them all. You'll look at a Note 3 a few weeks from now as something belonging in an antique store by comparison! Hope you really enjoy it!

Good move on the trade-in. I'd personally sell that X while its got the max value and bank the profit.
