Do you think there is somewhere in portland oregon where I can buy one since I don't see them online?

Or are they still selling 780 HOF online?

Sears has a 780 for the old $865 price pre AMD 290x / 780ti price markdown period.

So far everywhere else online is sold out, the card isn't better than evga ACX or msi TF but I want it for looks :X.

Galaxy has suspended sales in North America pending new distribution. Apparently they and their sales firm had a falling out. I don't know any more details.

Interesting:

Update - 3:44PM CDT - From Galaxy NA's Facebook Page:
"In response to reports of an alleged end to Galaxy’s business in North America, we would like to make clear that Galaxy is not pulling out from the North American market. We have recently had some changes in our structure and discontinued working with our current sales rep in North America but have no intention of ceasing business and operations in the region.

"Galaxy will continue all support and service as usual. We have a full team of staff servicing users’ RMAs and our support hotline is still operating. Our service email is still working as usual, we will continue replacing cards for end users, and our warranties will be honored and valid."

do you think it would work on a american asrock over clock level mobo?

also im looking for the non ti version around $550, although the HOF is probably $600ish maybe more.

599 pounds seems to be $1000.

Remember there is VAT included in the 599£. So you cant crosscompare. Its 466.66£ or ~780$ without VAT.

Honestly have a rig right now with a GT240 ddr5, its fine for me right now so I could potentially wait for DDR4 and a american HOF.

Hmm
Space theme case with window, yeah white pcb and the cooler looks the best imo.

It's all about looks because I know msi TF and acx classified are better for less.

The Gigabyte windforce cooler isn't bad on 760-780ti but eh....

In performance level what I'm really looking for is like a GTX 770 4gb for $344.

I like the 780's much lower power consumption when compared to 780ti.

Ridiculous amount of testing / tweaking of the card;

Was that posted today?

Here is what Kyle posted yesterday: http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1805224&page=10

Following up on everything this morning with my sources I have no reason to believe that Galaxy will be able to stay/re-enter the North American market, so as of now I still stand by everything outlined in the original article.

It does look like Galaxy will have a facility to handle RMAs with in the U.S. I would GUESS that this will be operational for approximately nine months before that is likely shut down. Again all of this is simply my opinion. Galaxy has not made any statements to HardOCP. In fact Galaxy has not reached out to us in any way to explain anything that we have reported here.

So [H] got mad that Galaxy stopped sending them free video cards, and then they posted a hit-piece aimed at them. Galaxy is denying their claim, and has high-end cards available in the US still.

Somebody is wrong, and shame on whoever it is.

Where did you find that Galaxy stopped supplying review samples to [H], never mind the accusation they posted a "hit piece"?

In response to reports of an alleged end to Galaxy’s business in North America, we would like to make clear that Galaxy is not pulling out from the North American market. We have recently had some changes in our structure and discontinued working with our current sales rep in North America but have no intention of ceasing business and operations in the region.

Here's what they put on their facebook page. It coincides with what I originally posted to the OP. They say nowhere in their response they currently have sales support, just warranty and service support. I don't see where they've updated that position, so I suppose what we are seeing online are either stock left in inventory, or stock acquired some other way than their normal NA channels.

The [H] announcement, at the top.

Galaxy had also promised review samples of new NVIDIA GPU products that were never delivered. No communication was made that the new video cards were no long coming either. A video card vendor going silent about advertising budgets is certainly not unheard of, but one that suddenly does not want its products reviewed is something of a red flag.

Maybe they read some of their recent reviews.
