I'm not a big fan of Galaxy, but this is a decent deal. I'd probably hold off a week or so more. I'm sure we will see the prices dropping down low with the incoming 7000 series.

I have an MSI GTX570, can I mix brands for SLI... or is such a thing recommended?

a GTX570 is a GTX570, no matter where you get it from. The only thing that matters for SLI (or CFX for that matter) is the chip. As long as it's a GTX570, it'll be fine.

obviously that's a non-reference cooler, but does anyone know if the PCB itself is non-reference? if it is a reference PCB, then it may work with a better cooler, like something from Arctic Cooling...that's why i'm wondering anyways

Couldn't quite get myself to pull the trigger with the rumor's of price drops next week. I guess my 9800 GTX+ will have to last me a little while longer.
