Also, not sure if this card suffers the same problem as the non-overclocked version, but people are having problems with the fan on the regular Galaxy 8800GT where it runs at 100% all the time and is really loud, and you can't adjust the fan speed even in Rivatuner.

NCIX took 6 days from the time I clicked order to the time they shipped it. Horrible imo.

Thats not that bad man.

Yeh, I have seen far worse than 6 days.

EVGA version for $239. Last time I checked there was only 40 remaining. And it comes with free Far Cry.

Assuming that's six regular days and not six business days, that's not bad considering it's coming from Canada. I live in Southern California which is great for getting things fast, but I'd rather get it from somewhere out of state and pay no tax; not too many places outside of California.

Even six business days is better than a lot of places. (Dell I'm looking at you.)

NCIX got flooded with their new year's sales, it took them a week to get FedEx to pick up my 8800GT (I had my tracking number within 2 days tho) however the last 2 times they've shipped pretty fast, 1-2 days processing, depending on weekends or what not

Did you even read my post? 6 days until it was in Fedex's hands! Not 6 days to get here!

Also to SirSnipe, this apparently happens every year to them; as other people have posted inquiring as to why this is going on year after year.

I just got my card in, and it SUCKS. The fan in hardwired (no control wire) to 100%. This thing is a leafblower. Way too loud. Since it's hardwired, obviously no Bios upgrade is going to work. This was not a problem with the Zalman fan because it was more or less silent.

NCIX is talking about sending everyone a discounted cooler for this card since this noise is unacceptable. They'll be updating the 11th.

I say just get the EVGA deal that's on the front page if you want to put up with them putzing around for 6 days before getting the order to Fedex; if not simply look elsewhere. The $20 I've saved on getting this from NCIX has totally not been worth the effort. Never ordering from again.
