I finally jumped on this deal. Now that it has the quiet fan and doesn't get hot like the others.

Hopefully, I'll see a good performance increase from my 7900GTO.

Thanks!

I have this. Pretty happy, though I have had problems with it which I believe is due to my too small power supply (350W). It works only if I reset the computer after the hard drives spin up. Kind of annoying. If I don't do this, it will lock the computer when I try to launch some 3D app. It is 100% stable after doing this.

The one pictured has a single speed fan, but it is VERY quiet. There is no way to adjust the speed of the fan unless you add a potentiometer inline with the plug or something. Even if you do that, there is no RPM sensor on the fan, so you wouldn't know how fast the fan is going without physically looking at it.

One other thing, be sure to check the heatpipe before installing, it is not very well designed and bends easily. Mine was bent into the fan. A bit of pressure bent it back to the proper place.

How long does it takes for this card to reach you after ordered from Canada?
Thanks.

Basically, everything you get in a retail packaged video card, minus the pretty box and any additional software.
And minus any kind of manufacturer warranty, which is one big downside. EVGA, XFX, and BFG cards cost only a few dollars more and have very lenient lifetime warranties.

I heard that these Galaxy cards come with Samsung brand RAM chips which should overclocks better too. I am wondering how long after ordering will it reach me in Fullerton, CA?

When I click on place your order, it gives me a blank white page. Does that mean my order did not goes through? No confirmation page nor email.

I got the blank page as well. I emailed them about it, and got this response:

Dated Feb 11, 2008 at 09:43 AM reply from Ncix Support

Hi,
If you did not recieve an order confirmation email with your order number than it did not go through successfully and you can re-place the order if you'd like. Take care.

So what's the deal, is there a problem with their ordering page?
I sent them an email and no response at all yet.

Just received mine. The box is a retail box, but it doesn't say Galaxy on it. Instead it says KFA2, and thats what the card says on it as well. It only says Galaxy one place on the card, and thats a sticker on the back. I'll get full pics up later tonight.

Got mine today. OEM white box package.

the problem is there is NO "No-Wait Rebate" option at Worldwiderebates.com when you registering the card.

Mine doesn't. I have one of the earlier BFG models with the nvidia reference cooler, though.

He's not talking about every 8800GT, the Galaxy one has 2 PCI-E plugs. Bottom line, you don't HAVE to use both, but it stays stable better if you overclock it if you use both.

You know I use use both from 2 different (non CPU) rails on 3-rail Coolermaster 750W PSU and I can't get past 650/1650/1800 on mine; that's at 1.15v stock that the card comes with (stock is 1.05v). Guess you get what you pay for, and that's what you get for buying non reference designs.

Finally got the order to be placed. However, I got an email that they will call me to verify the order before it can be shipped.
What's the deal with that? I order stuffs online all the time and never had to do this.

This Galaxy 8800GT also has an overclocking jumper on it which ups the volts a bit.

I received mine today and got the retail boxed KFA2.

Mine was also the KFA2 box, only place on the card that said "Galaxy" was on the back so now I'm really starting to wonder  For those wondering, there are 8 RAM chips on this card, which means you'll need 8 RAMsinks.
