Galaxy 8800GT 600MHz 512 MB DDR3@1.8GHz

Price dropped $10 since I posted yesterday.

Rebat is valid between Jan. 30 and Feb.20. If you do a search on their site it might only come up with the $20MIR that expires on Jan. 31 (Probably will update with the new rebate on the first of February).

$202 after rebate and shipping...I hope the price without rebate is $199 shipped in two weeks.

I'm wondering if I should try to return my BFG 8800 GT that I bought from Best buy ($214 before taxes), claim that the fan gets too hot, go back to my old video card for a while, and order this one with the much nicer HSF.

They're not shipping those anymore; I got one of them and RMA'd it for the Coolermaster fan and it is darn near silent even though it is hardwired to 100%. Very happy with it.

Edit:
Bleh, I've been reading all the comments on NCIX on this card, and I'm not gonna get an Excedrin headache over this thing. It is a HOT deal though, I must say.

Like one guy said, EVGA or XFX are the ones.

If you are referring to the cards being loud, that model has been pulled from sale. The one that is being sold here is the older style cooler which is supposed to be very quiet.

Shorter than it takes NCIXUS to actually get around to getting the card into FedEx's hand. From there it's candy.

Bought over Christmas and took 6 business days from the time I clicked order to the time it was in Fedex's hand. Lose.

However, the price is great. Card doesn't OC well though :( it's at 1.15 (up from 1.05v) stock and still BSOD's on me at my non-aggressive OC of 650/1650/1800.

soccerballtux have you tried adjusting the jumpers. You can adjust from 1.15 to 1.25 to 1.35v by adjusting the jumpers on the side. Also, do you have both PCI-E connectors plugged in? Guru3D has a review where they overclocked it to 700/1750/2400. Guru3D Review I have also heard of people reaching core clocks of 770. I am interested to hear what other people have been getting.

before I RMA'ed my card to get the silent cooler I hit 650/1900 quite easily, didn't need to raise voltage, maybe you need the side jumper as Samwise said
