That game cost me a fortune when I was a kid. Definition of a fortune to me back then was sacrificing a new Transformer to play.

I paid 50 cents a pop to play Galaga in an arcade recently. I forgot about letting them capture one of my ships for the first few rounds, but my hand was still numb when I finally got bored on round 15 or so.

I could NEVER get the "enemies no longer fire" trick to work.

We had one of those in my fraternity house back in the day. I was able to break into the machine and we played for free. I became a Galaga master back in '84 or so, I forget, it was all a haze.
