Gainward + Leadtek G4Ti4400 - quiet factor?

With the rare chance that people have tried both of these cards, can anyone comment on which of the card's respective fans are quieter than one another? Or are they equal?

Both cards sound identical in terms of cooling and stability, I guess this is the only factor I have left in choosing between them.

Leadtek is better because it has the best cooling system ever found on a graphics card and it overclocks much better than the Gainward. However, if you like VIVO (video in/video out) then stick with the Gainward.

Leadtek 100% of the way! Cooling solution is incredible and overclocking is nice. I was debating on it a few days ago and finally ordered it and glad I didn't spend the extra because it easily overclocks past Ti4600. Nice thing about the Gainward is the "Enhanced" mode which raises clock speeds a bit and doesn't void warranty.

I believe his question was how quiet the fans on the Gainward and Leadktek in comparison. Not how well they cool or overclock. =)

I'm going to buy the Leadtek G4 Ti4400 next week and you have the ability to disable one of the fans according to some of the users on here. Just type in "Leadtek" in the search field and there will be comments about the noise level; which for some is quiet.

Wow...I am really sorry that none of those people answered your question. 🙂 Well, I will. I have listened to both and I can say that the difference is quite nill unless of course you have a COMPLETELY silent case. I have a couple L1A's goin and I still think my PSU is louder than anything in my computer. I wouldn't give the noise too much of your concern. If you want my advice about the better card, I would have to go with Leadtek...it just feels more stable and I was able to OC it to 306/695 without so much of a hiccup (I haven't tried any higher...yet). Good luck with your buying!

I've seen a few reviews on GF4 cards that mention the noise factor. If you want quiet, get a card that uses the stock nVidia HS/Fan. The reviews state that MSI with its high RPM and fewer blade fan and LeadTek dual fan setups are considerably louder than the brands with the nV ref HS/fan. I can tell you that my VisionTek Ti4600 is very quiet.
