Gainward GF4!!!

Woah. My next card. Pink fan enclosure, pink ramsinks, red board.
Looks like I'll be using a DVI to analogue adapter to use with CRT.
Also has separate TV card, looks like.

Also appears like the Gainward folks are playing around with numbers again, calling their Ti460 a "750"
falsely implying a 375 RAM rate, not 330 - or could it be true?

man...check out the cooling on that card. heatsinks on the ram and the cooling rig on the gpu. heatsink manufacturers should be making some dough at last... 😛

Come on! 🙁 Anything but pink. I guess you won't ever see it inside your case, but I still don't like pink.

Is there ram sinks on both sides of the card?

Can you imagine two 23" Viewsonic LCD's hooked up to the two DVI connectors and working in Photoshop
or CAD or dreamweaver straddling both screens.

I wish Gainward would quit playing their little naming games. Having a GF3 Ti200 called the Ti450.....they even have a "Jumbo" version called the Ti500.
The real Ti500 being called a Ti550.
Then their GF2 Ti's being called the GF2 Ti450 and GF2 Ti500.

I love their cards, but I wish they'd quit trying to mislead their customers.

I've got myself the gainward geforce 3 golden sample vivo with cheese. It's stable with no additional cooling at 245 main clock 532 memory. Got it for $155 too.

I'm a big fan of gainward now, even if it is pink. =p

I just ordered a Gainward 64mb Ti200 GS (okay, TI450) today for my brother in law's BX & P3 733. Should make 4700-4900 in 3DMarks, which will beat my 1.4 T-Bird and GF2 Pro. He's been trying to play Max Payne with a GF256 DDR, and just can't stand the slow downs anymore at 1024X768 32 bit. New Egg has them for $156 + $6 shipping.

Definately ugly, but I could really care less as its hidden inside of my box 😉 I'm definately grabbing one as soon as I can find someone selling them! As for their naming conventions, they are a pain - but at least this time their model numbers aren't anything like the chip numbers (ie 750 not 4750) so confusion can be better avoided 😛

PS It looks like the add in card is an IEEE1394 (Firewire) card - the VIVO functionality is offered with that cable just above the 1394 card 😉
