Gainward GF2Ti 450 64MB vs. Elsa Gladiac Ultra 64mb which is better?

I KNOW that neither of these are "cutting edge" right now, however I anm thinking of swapping out my Gainward for the Elsa. Humor me and just comment on these cards.

Anyone have any real world experience if the Ultra would be an upgrade?

The Gainward is NOT the golden sample version.

The ultra is better, but only just its core is 50 mhz higher clocked which gives a marginal performance increase. not really an upgrade to be honest more sideways step.

The GeForce2 Ti operates at the same core clockspeed as the GF2 Ultra, both run on a core clock of 250MHz.
The Ultra has a higher memory clock, 460MHz relative to the 400MHz of the GF2 Ti.

The Elsa 'Ultra' has 4ns memory compared to the 4.5ns memory on Gainwards GF2 Ti/450... so both should be overclockable, but the 'Ultra' should have a bit more headroom on the memory.
The Ti core is fabbed on .15u process, whereas the ultra cores were hand picked from the .18u processor, so the core of the Ti will likely be able to o/c a bit further though.

The 'Ultra' is definitely the better card, though the differences arent tremendous.

To give you a little perspective (surprised no one mentioned), the GF2 titanium performs in between the Pro and the Ultra.

If you have a GF2 Ti, you won't really notice any improvement worth purchasing under the GF3 Ti200. It's definitely not worth the price to upgrade to a GF2 Ultra IMHO. Wait a bit and look for on in the FS/FT forum.
