Gainward Geforce 3 vs. 9100pro

would this be an upgrade or more of a side grade?
im very happy with my gainward(its the nilla gf3,not ti200,500)
is this even worth doing? or should i just wait?

This is purely an estimation but...

The 9100 Pro was built to compete against the GF4 MX series. Then of course even the Original GeForce 3 puts the GF4 MX to shame, so I'd stay with the GF3 and if you arn't satisfied with the performance, how about overclocking?.

get some OEM ati 9500 non pro, the 9100 pro won't do much good compared to the geforce3.

Not a very large upgrade...... Keep the GF3 or hold out for something faster like a 9500Pro or better.

since you're already spending $120 for the 9100 pro, might as well wait awhile til you gather up another $40 and get the 9500pro from sapphiretech

Did I miss something here? Or you meant 9000 PRO, NOT 9100, was built to compete against GF4 MX?

I'm not an expert on ATi cards and with the influx of new 9xxx cards, I probably mixed them up =\

all the 9100 is is a renamed 8500. there isn't really any reason to "upgrade" from a geforce3 with a 9100.
