The malfunctioning PVP is actually a Sound Storm chip, that needs to be activated by a MS update. ;)

That really sucks of the one time i owned one of their cards. Too bad they didnt make for ATI chips

Yes 'tis a sad day if they're no longer going to make graphics cards here.

I've loved my Golden Sample GT. Excellent card, although I'm gonna replace it with a PCI-Ex BFG one.

The digitimes article seems to suggest that the new owner wants to use the Gainward name to enter the highend card market.
There is an article in the theinquirer.com that suggests that the new owners could be more committed to the video card market.

Whenever a US company uses a brand name for this reason, the new products seem to crash-and-burn. Maybe the Germans can do better.
