I have not received a cancellation yet. And no, they are full of crap, Newegg just had both the Gainward ultra and GT GS's up until monday when they sold out. Shouldnt be long until their back in stock. I should of ordered it fri night when i had the chance.
 
Online vendors seem to be able to get away with quite few things. If you go into B&M and find a price mistake they have to honor the price, online they give you the bs that comes with click through contracts. You click this button and we can basically do what we want.

You know, I was thinking the same thing. We are pretty hard on the vendors when they don't honor a price mistake, but this is ridiculous. For as bad as CompUSA and BB are, they wouldn't last a month if they pulled this kind of stuff on their customers. Oh well...I guess online vendors have their ups and downs.

As previously stated they are full of crap, the ultras came out a while ago. They made a price mistake and are trying to get out of it.

Ya, I definitely went and posted some appropriate scores on Reseller Ratings! If we all do that maybe we can bring their score down to what it deserves to be...a 2.5
 
Well, left a review on Reseller Ratings for them and believe it or not, they called me to try and get me to change it! He said that they weren't making AGP anymore and that they were all going to PCI-e and start using a new Prescott core!!! hahahahahaha. I told him the main problem I had was that they listed them in stock when they weren't and were never going to be. He sad that their website did not reflect their inventory and that it takes a lot of time to update. I told him I wouldn't change my posting and that I wouldn't shop there again. I found the whole thing very comical...
 
I also left them a review, from reading some of the other recent reviews, I would say this is a common practice of theirs.

The guy on the phone said the same thing, after he told me that they weren't going to be making them anymore. Then he asked me if I would change the rating I gave them.

haha, that's hilarious. You might actually end up with a PCI-e 6800 Ultra with a Prescott core! Good Luck!
 
BTW, I know there are more than three people here who placed orders for this card, so for the sake of anyone else who may order from them, please go to Reseller Ratings and post a review! If we can give a real picture of the service these folks are accustomed to giving, other people will not be faced with the hassle we have all been put through! It takes about 3 minutes and is for a good cause. Hopefully if they receive a lot of comments they will change their shady ways and become a reputable online reseller!

Ive been having multiple conversations with Eve Liang over there at Xtreme. Im working on getting these cards for the price they said they would sell them for. They will be hearing back from Gainward ( die to this confusion of their uneducated staff thinking AGP is dead ) , so at this point, im going to give them the benefit of the doubt. The resellerratings.com is just killing them right now. So anyone who still wants in on this deal who got a cancellation before, reply here so i can have a running number. Thanks

If you can actually get these cards for the price specified, and have them shipped, then great, count me in!
 
You can count me in as well, if they would have been upfront with me in the first place, I wouldn't have given them such a bad rating. I hate when people don't admit their mistakes.

I've posted feedback on all 3, so far no one has attempted to contact me to my knowledge to change/edit what I said. If they had just admitted it was a price mistake I probably wouldnt have posted anything on them good or bad, but the fact they are trying to make up excuses instead ticked me off a little.
 
I gave up waiting, and bought an XFX 6800GT from gameve instead. It's on its way to me now. Was gonna wait for the Doom 3 bundle deals but I just can't wait no longer.

If you can work a deal out, then I'd be all for it. I actually got a call from them this evening but I wasn't able to get to the phone. He said he'd call back but I haven't heard from him yet...
 
I don't understand how this is any worse than Dell or GW saying they would be shipping the XT PE's in 5-7 days.

They seem more than willing to let us wait for stock, and as I'm not getting a PE anytime soon, I don't feel very put out at all
