Gainward 6800 Gt G/S conflicting with Audigy 2 ZS HELP!

Ive been waiting to get my hands on the audigy 2 ZS for quite some time, the time finally came where i was amongst the proud owners of one. But alas , after installing it i found to my dismay that games which were running fine before began to start crashing, games such as doom 3 , half life 2, ut 2004 , you get the picture.
ive had my gainward golden sample at 400 /1100 (which is what i bloody paid for, rock solid stability they say! yeah right.) when the crashes occur, but once i bring the core down to 375 and leave the ram at 1100 all goes well and smooth. ive tried upping my voltage to 1.6 from 1.5 with only a very slight improvement, ie it takes longer to crash. Once i disable my sound card and run my onboard realtek ac97 sound all is ok again , and i can even push my card a little higher say 410 and its quite stable.
my 3dmark 2001 score was 12700 +- before installing the audigy 2 zs, and after installation it went right down to 12250.
i dont know what the hells going on. My brother reckons the pci bus cant handle it or something but i dunno.
pls dont tell me to get in touch with Gainward cos those bozos are a pain in the ass to deal with.

Any help will be appreciated.

Do you have ability to test your components (video card and sound card) on another computer..especially with another mainboard?

i doubt its a p.s.u related problem though.
