Gain weight

I'm a college student that's lost weight and is getting close to being underweight btw I've always had a problem gaining weight. I was wondering how to change that while staying in shape. Right now I eat 2-3x a day and work out(lift/run) 2x a week which I intend on increasing.

The fact that you're here is a good sign. ATOT is proven to help you gain weight! 😛

Eat at LEAST 3x a day and do not skip breakfast, even if you just have something to drink and a piece of toast or something.

EDIT: I can't believe I screwed up and put "your" instead of "you're!" *smacks head*

I'm also on a budget being a college student and not having enough time is a norm.
EDIT: I'm also going to start playing intramural soccer.

Meal # 1 - 400cal, 35g protein
3/4 cup of oatmeal
1 protein shake (milk/whey)

Meal # 2 - 450cal, 20g protein
1/2 bagel w/ cream cheese
1/2 cup cottage cheese
1 apple

Meal # 3 - avg: 600cal, 35g protein
decent lunch (sandwhich, chicken, etc. with veggies)

Meal # 4 - 480cal, 35g protein
1 banana
3/4 cup rice
1 protein shake

Meal # 5 - avg: 650cal, 35g protein
normal dinner (grilled steak, chicken, tuna, etc. with rice, veggies)

Meal # 6 - 400cal, 35g protein
3/4 cup oatmeal
1 protein shake

Approx Totals = 3000 calories, 195 gms of protein.
Optimum Nutrition Protein is cheap and is around $.33 per shake (only a buck a day). Oatmeal is cheap too. This will put on good lean muscle weight if you workout. If you want to put on fat just eat anything (try heavy whipping cream coming in at 600-800 calories for the little pint size box😉 )

Because I get easily sidetracked and find something else to do...I hardly ever feel hungry but I am almost always

Sounds similar to what I use to gain weight. Last semester I only weighed 129lbs (5'9.5") since I was busy and would put off eating (now 143lbs). If you are going to run(aerobics), add a before and after meal. Follow the meal plan above, you'll feel yourself getting healtheir and don't miss any meals. Don't drink anything besides water (except for the shakes of course).

Yikes. Hard to get enough protein being a vegetarian and a poor college student.

Cut down on the cardio and up the amount that you eat. That's about all I can recommend. 😕

Don't let yourself get out of shape, of course, but you don't necessarily have to run 2-3x a week + plus soccer to keep your cardiovascular strength. If you are lifting weights make sure to take a protein supplement (as Staley8 already recommended).

Edit: Oh, and if you are a vegetarian that eats eggs and fish those are always helpful. Watch your cholesterol if it's an issue, though (or just eat the egg whites).

The answer: Paxil, Prozac, or Zoloft (really, any SSRI)

The layman's reason: Antidepressants screw with your liver, inhibiting specific enzymes necessary for normal metabolic function.

Result: Weight gain. Usually around 15-20lbs in a few months time.

According to a study where 24 adults ate 2 eggs a day for several months, their HDL went up 10%. Don't worry about the cholesterol in eggs - it's a myth.

To gain weight you need to eat plenty of starchy carbs. Work out on compound basic exercises only (squats, rows, chins, dips, presses, curls, etc). Drink plenty of milk if you can tolerate it. Get in plenty of fresh fruit as well. If you eat like a bird, you will look like a bird. If you want to be a big boy that throws around extremely heavy weight at the gym, you have to be able to ingest plenty of calories.
