Ok boys, thanks for helping if you do. What program can I use to tweak my radeon 8500? my old radeon tweaker from my radeon LE wont do the trick....and it isnt performing well. Please help! I need to set gamma, all kinds of settings i hope, clock speed, etc. Right now its working no better than my radeon LE, and its more quirky. (cant play CS at 1280x1024 or whatever it is....cuz when i go in to server originally i can see top of desktop and my task bar. When I escape out and do resume game it seems like im in 640x480 and its looking at the sky and spinning and I cant do anything....)

please help guys!

sammyboy what are you kidding a complex problem with so many variables and no system info do you need help?

how about a list of what you've done so far?

please man we gotsta have something to go on?

and the one question i can somewhat answer is yes there is a program to overclock its name slips me at the moment but it weas mentioned in these forums less than a week ago i'll look for it but be warned i've never used it

meanwhile you get to typing a little background info Please😉

haha, thanks guys.

Anyhow, its a radeon 8500 on a epox 8k7a, duron @1ghz, 256mb crucial. running winxp

what speeds should I set it to?

lets try that tweaker....!

hurmmmm....

thanks for the link, looks good and swell. Wont let me change my clock speed though....maybe u cant change clock speeds with radeon 8500s yet....

im gonna go re-read the anand geforce vs. Radeon comparo...maybe they mentioned if they overclocked it or not.

that also doesnt change gamma that prog, but the radeon settings aparently do, doesnt change anything in game though.

Overclocking isnt going to fix your CS problem. Are you using the CS that came with the 8500 or and older one?

PowerStrip is also a great overclocking/tweaking program

What drivers are you using for the 8500?? I am using the 6025 and I play CS fine, I use powerstrip for all of my settings and overclocking.

why don't you just set the gamma in the drivers? If it isn't any different than your LE, you have major problems.
