GAHHH!! Silent Hill 3 = CREEPIEST m-f'ing game EVER.

Holy crap. I have to take a break from this game. I'm getting seriously jittered out here.

First, the game is so dark and low contrast that I have to turn the lights out to play it to avoid glare.

Second, the sound designer is one sadistic son of a bitch. I never, ever want to hear ANYTHING that makes these noises in real life.

Third, nearly every single room puts you right in biting range of a mutant, razor-toothed, vagina-headed dog or an abomination that looks like a metal gorilla with elephantitis of the arms and a mouth for a head.

I'm DEFINITELY not sleeping well tonight, and I doubt I'll make it all the way through this game without a nervous breakdown. Help.

I've only played part of Silent Hill 1 one Playstation. Freaked the sh!t outta me too, at least what I've played of it. Is SH3 coming out for PC?

Is this o PS 2 or PC? I played the first one on PS 1 and found it rather disturbing and quite scary to say the least. It used to give me the creeps too, but it was quite engrossing.

I didn't find it creepy at all for PS1.
Haven't played the latter versions.
 
It's for PS2. Dunno if it's coming to PC but it should, it would translate well. Graphics are astounding compared to the first two.

IMO, it's creepier than the first but SH2 still holds its ground. A friend of mine is farther in the game and he says it gets worse. Uh oh.
 
all i know, is that when resident evil original was our for PS was out, me and my friend played it at about 1 in the morning out in a tent in his backyard. now that was CREEPY!!!!!!

played part 1 on PS with my friend. Took turns alternating> only played at night with the lights off. Freaky game.

How does it compare against SH1 and SH2? I'm only like 1/3 of SH2 and I've had it for a year 😛
 
The first one was really disturbing. I blasted through the second one in a couple days because it was just a rental, so it didn't have the same effect. I really don't want to play another rendition, so I probably won't get to #3. I am playing Eternal Darkness for the GC, however. Now THAT'S a creepy game. The insanity effects can really get to you.
 
damn man, i just rented the game from BB not to long ago. i am at the hospital in silent hill right now. pretty cool how the main character is linked to the first story...

It's definitely harder than SH2 so far.. I'm not far into SH3 but from what I know they give you a LOT less ammo. More of your time is just spent running in fear rather than blasting the demon freakshows.

UBER scary game. Worst is when you're in Engineering heading toward the bridge and you can hear the doors sliding open in the distance and the zombie type guys dragging their pipes and getting closer.
