GAH! Screw on ebay w/ XBox purchase?

I just bought a Xbox setup off of ebay... console, DVD kid, mem card and 2x Microsoft brand S-Controllers

HOWEVER, it seems these controllers are funked up. ... the ends are not right. They are round like a PS2 port on a PC and not oval like the XBOX should be!?!?!? Am I missing something here?
 
there is another part of the cable that connects that ps2 like port to the xbox.. They are like that so if they get pulled they disconnect from there instead of pulling your xbox off the table or whatever.
 
No dude, those are the right controllers, but it looks like he didn't give you the whole controller. The ends you are talking about are the break away protion of the cord. There is another part that connects to it, it has a round end like you are talking about, and the other end plugs into the XBox. Tell him you are missing part of the controller.
 
You might want to check your packaging for the controller ends (the PS2 style plug plugs into a short cord that plugs into the XBox ala USB)
 
yeah I still have the packaging he sent it to me in... nothing in there. He pacakged it like a pro too. More wrap than Ive even seen
How long are these "Extensions"?
 
The official ones are very short. Less than 6 in. including the connectors.

Don't freak out about it. Your local EB will have those pieces for around $5.

2x$5 is $10 that I shouldnt have to spend on it
He can refund me $10 if he likes
 
Should have bought mine off the FS/FT board. Would have probably gotten it for less, recieved more accessories, and you'd have EVERYTHING you paid for.

yeah I know... trying to find a link to purchase though so I can show the guy the $$.
I can just buy locally and he can refudn the $. Doesnt sound like he actually HAS them
 
Just out of curiousity - did you ask him *how* he played XBox without the controller extensions? Either the guy stole the XBox or he's just flat out lying to you.
 
If those ends come with the controllers when you buy them, then he shoudl send them to you at his expense. You bought the controller from him which would include whatever came with the controller. If you bought the controller from the store and it comes with that attachment, then it's part of the controller and shoudln't be left out. I'd get him to send it to you for free. Even if he has to use UPS ground or something, it doesn't take all that long.

If he sells a lot, you could always threaten the old Negative Feedback for selling you only part of the item.
 
Oh yeah dont get me wrong Im not forking out more of my $$ for this. Im just saying if he doesnt have them, which it doesnt sound like he does as he seems to have no idea WTF Im talking about, rather than HIM buy them and ship them, I can just buy them locally and he can refund me my exspense.

He found one and will ship it ASAP and simply reimburse me for the other one. Best Buy you say will have them?
