I hope you get laughed out of court for even bothering to hire a lawyer. You know what you did was stupid, like you've already admitted, so just pay the fine and stop being stupid behind the wheel.

HOLY CRAP, this ticket on my insurance is on the same level as a DUI/DWI or Drag Racing... Already lawyered up.

Yeah, get a lawyer, big time. I would also question the "in a parking lot" part, I was always under the IMPRESSION that you could not get a moving violation on private property. (with the exception being an accident) Of course that could be 100% wrong.

Also, if your state has any "ticket forgiveness" programs (IE traffic school) you should look into those seriously. Here in FL going to school really does seem to "erase" the ticket from your insurance record. "A friend of mine" got a ticket that no lawyer would touch, and going to traffic school made it go away.

It was stupid... but it wasn't THAT stupid, I didn't hurt anyone, I didn't have the chance of hurting anyone. I didn't cause property damage, my freakin tires didn't spin.

It was dumb, and a $150 ticket would have been no big deal to me, but that kind of thing on my insurance. ****** THAT

Actually cops here won't bother with wrecks on private property either. They tell you to deal with it on your own 🙁

I got stopped for doing donuts in a parking lot(a very empty part), I didn't have my driver's license with me, and some how I didn't get a ticket? I was amazed.

With defensive driving and a $10 admin fee they will drop the ticket. Rent the box and the tape at blockbuster for $40-50 bucks, spend 2-3 nights completing the course and they will send your cert of completion in the mail. Take it to the courthouse and your done

you admit you were being stupid...and then whine that the ticket is stupid...so what degree of stupidness would warrant a ticket in your mind?

from the officers point of view im sure he was thinking look at this dumb ass one of these days he is going to kill himself or hurt someone else, time to put a stop to it

what bullshit.

but no, i dont know.

excessive acceleration? who the hell is a cop to tell me i cant drop the pedal?

I think the unposted speed limit of parking lots is 15 mph? So, to me, excessive accelerations seems better than a speeding ticket. Sounds like the cop hooked up the OP for being an idiot.
