Gah.... my 8am class was canceled!

and I commute to school... I was out the door of my house at like 7:20am just to have class canceled, that's not the worst part, I can't just go back home... I have class at 12 this afternoon. GRRRR.....
 

Solution: GET A JOB IN THE COMPUTER LAB! You should be able to schedule it so you "work" during the hours between classes, that way, you get paid, and you can study, surf the net, whatever. And ohh man, I commuted too, not as far as you hpkeeper, but I gotta tell ya, I am SO FRICKEN GLAD that I graduated. College was great, but I am really glad to have it behind me.

Yeah, they don't recognize many holidays here at a my school either, every friggin' post office and high school in the country is closed and yet I have college classes today... assuming that my other instructors decide that they want to come to class, unlike my prof. this morning. go figure...

Not at a private school either. I would take the day off but the first of our big assignments is due today. It would have to be on a monday too.

I managed to cram all my classes one after the other, wanted to have some free days. To tell you the truth, its pretty bad. Every Tuesdays and Thursdays I go back home and sleep 4hrs straight.

Bastard! I have one exam and one important class that i cannot miss. I think most private colleges and some state universities are in business today ... sucky sucks dude.
 
Here at Virginia Tech, we have no *single* days off during the year .. only holidays we have are a week for Thanksgiving, ~3 weeks for Christmas, and a week for Spring Break.

I've got college here too. My phsychology teacher called in sick so thats cool, only one more class to go which is chick appreciation (art appreciation actually). Just me and my friend (LyNx01) in the class with like 20 chicks and some aren't too shabby at all🙂

It's for that reason I like bringing my laptop to school. I have a couple of two hour breaks in there, and if I don't have anything else to do, I break out a session of baldurs gate or Worms: World Party 😉
 
We don't have today off either. But or school does have Cesar Chavez day off. I don't get that one. I hate the long waits between classes though. I have a 6:30PM class tonight, and I usually go straight from work after I get off at 4:00. So I get to school at around 4:30, and have a 2 hour wait. I hate that. Lately I've just decided to hang around work for an hour or so unpaid and just surf the net in my office.
 
it's now 1:30pm here... I have a class from 2 until 4... I'm still stuck here... this day is going by SOOOOoooo Slow.
