Gah! Fax machine notation

Ok, the tray has a picture of a page with lines on it, and a fold in the top-right hand corner of the page. Does that mean the pages to be faxed should be face up or face down? 😕

LOL - I'm pretty sure I just faxed 4 pages upside down. I guess I could fax them the other way just to be safe. I thought the fax receipt would show a portion of the page jsut faxed, but the receipt was blank except of the date/time stamp.

Why is it so hard to put "PLACE PAGES FACE-UP/FACE-DOWN" on the tray instead of that cryptic symbol.

yeah i hate fax machine. first it is the face up face down dilemma, next is whether i need to dial a 9. finally i can never tell whether it goes thru successfully.

I think it's because of translation. The same machine probably got sold in france too. However, I have seen products with multiple languages as instructions in the bottle. So I don't know...
