Likely something I missed. My Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3 's USB 3.0 sockets (the one's integrated with the MB) are not working. After I completed the Win7 64 Pro load, drivers from Gigbyte's web site, I checked the device manager & saw a couple USB devices not loaded (no drivers). So tried a few things, even the CD the board came with & no luck.

Using a flash drive, went through & tested every available USP socket & all worked except the 3.0 one's on the back. The 3.0's failed to work. The 3.0 header on the MB is not used at this time. I actually had an issue with the keyboard not lighting up during the initial boot & I believe it was in one of those ports. Just now checked it with the mouse, no go.

So anyone got any ideas? Like maybe the proper drivers? Or did I miss something again.... =)

Thanks,
Joe

What driver does Device Manager show installed for the USB 3.0 controller? Does it show a yellow question mark?

It looks like those ports use an Etron controller, driver v. 105 on Gigabyte's site.

Thanks guys, that of course did the trick.

Not sure how I missed it as I downloaded everything Gigabyte had under drivers for my board. I browsed the CD after installing the linked drivers & I did find (an older version) them but the CD GUI did not offer to install them & it was not in the USB section of the CD.

Regardless, you guys came through for me. Thanks for taking the time.
