Ga. Tech 69 Samford 14

They didn't suck because Reggie Ball is no longer there. He kept the program down for 4 years.

I hate Notre Lame.

After the game I heard some guy talking on ESPNews about how the Irish are going to win 7 games this year. He must be smoking crack. I don't see how they'll beat Michigan or PSU. Tack in a loss with UCLA and USC, probably Purdue and MSU as well.

Looks like that ND/UM game is shaping up to be craptacular.

I dont like how Notre Dame plays a whole bunch of crappy teams and somehow always gets ranked. I watched the game and loved every point GT put up on them.

LOL, I'm sure they are. I spoke to a few friends who went to see the game and they've been drinking and partying.

I'm hoping the Jackets can repeat this performance in November. I've been here at Tech for six years and once, just once, I want to see Tech beat Georgia.

i don't know which was better... michigan getting done at home by a 1AA team or notre lame getting completely outplayed on national tv. maybe the charlie weiss is a genius crap will stop. the only thing that could have made today perfect is if k-state had beaten auburn (nothing against auburn, i just hate SEC fans calling into the local radio station to crow about how great their conference is).

it's not our fault the SEC is the best conference going.

The offensive mastermind in his 3rd year at ND fails to score a touchdown at home. Meanwhile, Willingham scores 6 TD's on the road at Syracuse.

Of course, Notre Dame opened the game with a brand new quarterback with no experience, unlike Washington. Oh wait, Washington played a freshman too (probably the best freshman QB in the nation).

Seriously, all the ND fans are hailling Weis as such a great recruiter and bringing in top-10 classes, so you'd think there'd be some freshman and sophomore playmakers at the skill position. Hell, USC, Ohio State, Florida, etc put in freshman all the time and make plays...so where are all of ND's with those super-elite recruiting classes?

Reggie Ball only played good vs. Auburn. The rest of the time he was the worst QB in football.

You missed how great it would have been if Arkansas St. would have scored one more. 😛

The starter is a RS-JR, but we have a freshman with freakish athleticism who played a little bit.

It was a good weekend. I was hoping University of Idaho would upset USC as well, oh well. We still got Boise State.

Who's going to get owned by UW.

"And so it was, as Jake took two series of three and outs to figure out this college football. He was throwing high hard heat and he was hit hard and he said it was good.

Then Jake made a first down and he liked it, so he made another one and he liked that, and so he made a touchdown and he liked that, so he made 4 more. Then he looked at the end of the third quarter and he was pleased. So in the 4th quarter, Jake rested. "
