Seems the two Trump party candidates are approaching Trump % levels of support in deep red counties but turnout is nothing special and most of the votes left are coming from blue areas and black turnout has been excellent.

Promise of free money is powerful motivator. Let's see if it's enough.

Also maybe voting against anti-democratic fascist insider trading crooks that will only pass legislation good for the top 5%, maybe top 10%, of folks and for big business only, screw the little guys. That might be a factor.

Without the promise of free money, this race wouldn't be close.

NYT needles still project Team Blue wins both races by 1 point+.
We Democratic voters have had to endure quite a few bad election nights (2004, 2006 and Nov. 3rd) so if this final blue shift does come to pass, it'll be glorious. I doubt the races will be called anytime soon, and no doubt Trumpsters will baselessly allege shens no matter the outcome. Turning Moscow Mitch into the Senate's minority leader would prove this new year is no repeat of a calamitous 2020.

For now, keeping the faith.

I'm sure it helped but it certainly ain't the only reason. A lot of people have higher values than just a small one-time check, this may come as a surprise to you. Things like democracy and their vote being counted - 2 grand ain't gonna change your life, but being empowered by a vote that counts every time you use it, that's for life. Black voters I'm sure see that Trump has made Confederate flag waving racists all amped up, I'm sure that drives them out to vote too. The environment. Literally any shot at better access to healthcare. Women's bodily autonomy. These things matter to a lot of voters, especially younger ones, who had good turnout. Also R turnout has seemed average, because Trump was too busy whining about his loss and casting doubts on the election process instead of consistently campaigning for the two Trump party candidates. Lots of factors at play here.

Market futures turned even more negative so you guys are probably right that the Dems are going to win.
Why would stocks turn negative on the idea of Democrats winning? That doesn’t make a lot of sense.

Then again ascribing market futures to most events is basically astrology for well heeled people.

The stock market was hopeful that "Moscow Mitch" (as you guys love calling him) was going to block any corporate tax increases or Wall St reforms from getting passed in the Senate. A split Congress was better for them.

Because if the dems get in it will usher in socialism where everyone will have the option to get health care etc etc etc

You live your morals and ethics by the stock market and yet moan over "free money" stimulus ... what the hell do you call playing the stock market? Yea. Free money. If you got the initial capital to play that game of course!
So you like free money for yourself. Just not them other people?
