GA-K8NXP-SLI performance

I have just been reading through the reviews of the GA-K8NXP-SLI, and it seems it lacks somewhat in performance compared to MSI's and Asus's offerings. Is this something that is fixed with latest bios releases, or is it something this board will continue to suffer?

According to Anandtechs new SLI article, the shipping GA-K8NXP-SLI boards perform a lot worse than the pre-release board they got. Naturally I find this out after I buy one.

I mean, is there something they can do in bios to improve things or is it the components on the motherboard and we are stuck with it?

What do you mean about it lacks in performance? Are you referring overclocking or @ stock speed? I see Gigabyte tops few tests, more than MSI or Asus....

I bought the Ultra version of this board and was very happy with the pre-production review here on AnandTech and on other sites about the featues and OC ability of the board. I just finished installing the board a couple of days ago and havn't had time to look into OC yet but I just read the new review on the SLI version of the board which it should perform the same as the Ultra...very disappointed with the findings....I hope Gigabyte can turn the board back to its pre-production OC results with a new BIOS or we are doomed...
