GA-K8NS Pro Northbridge

Ok Here is my problem that I need some help with from anyone that would like to respond with a theory.

My new GA-K8NS Pro after working for 3 weeks fine started shutting down 5 seconds after pushing the on button. I removed everything from the board and found the problem to be that the Northbridge was overheating I would burn my finger touching the back of the motherboard and after being off for a minute the heat would go through to the Northbridge heat sink and fan where it would become uncomfortable to touch. (the cpu hs is cool to touch and both the hs and Northbridge fans work fine)

Now when I turn the computer on it will run for 5min before overheating and shutting down but the ram light will not come on and nothing comes up on the screen so am I right in suggesting that the Northbridge is dead or sick and therefore the ram and Video card are not working correctly.

I have tried the ram and the video card in another system with the same specs and these both work. Can someone make a suggestion, I have not oc this system in anyway and so should I return the board and get a refund ?.

I would rma the board anyway. Thermalright makes a northbridge heatsink, if you're interested, but removing the old northbridge heatsink might void your warranty, and the board may have other problems. It needs to be tested.
