Exactly the same here, I have to pull the plug to get the endless sequence to stop.

I got the G.Skill F2-8800CL5Q-8GBPI memory today, will install it tonight and see if it makes any difference.

Same here with Vista x64, XP was fine. Also same with my DS3.

I've noticed the ones having trouble with S3 are also running 64 bit os..
Have you changed the Hpet mode in the bios under power management?
It defaults to 32 bit I too had trouble until I switched it to 64 bit..
