GA-8IEXP Network Card & On-board LAN Problems

I am having problems setting up the on-board LAN and my Linksys PCI Network Card on the Gigabye 8IEXP mobo. I'm not trying to install both at the same time. Just neither of them are working properly after I install them. I know its not my connection because I'm using the same cable to connect to Anandtech right now.

I've installed the Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility and the Intel LAN driver but it just won't connect me to the internet. Both connections always send packets but do not recieve any.

Any recommendations? Thanks.

Do you have a local lan you can test (PC to PC, HUB, etc.)? Disable everything else (lan, sound, etc.) and try that. What OS? Is your cable okay? what's it plugged in to (Hub, C Modem, Dsl Modem, Switch, etc.)?

hey sep.

well here's what so info about my problem.
my cable is ok, connected to a cable modem, its odd because the onboard lan won't work, a linksys network card won't work but i tried installing a second network card(netgear) and that is the only one that works in the system
