Crazy PC has Zalman VF1000 in stock grab them while they have them.
Yeah, but the Zalman doesnt exhaust the air out of the case like the GTS's dual slot cooler does.
I put two GT's in sli in one of my rigs to try it out and i honestly thought the card in the upper slot was going to suffer overheating damage it was getting so hot.
I definitely wouldnt try that again without some way to exhaust the heat out of the case.

SteelSix,
I wouldnt take too much offense to the GT owners vs the "new" GTS owners.
I own three 8800GT's and i certainly dont think anyone who decides to buy a GTS over a GT is crazy, you get the dual slot cooler already installed on the card which should give you more overclocking headroom right out of the box without the need to void the cards warranty by installing an aftermarket cooler.
For some people thats worth the extra $$$ and to some its not.

You think its bad now, just wait until someone tries to start a GTS overclocking thread.
It will go something like..
GTS owner: I got my card to "blah blah" speeds.
GT owner: Yeah well i get mine to that speed with my stock cooler and you paid too much.
Other GTS owner: well my GTS clocks higher than both of those.
Other GT owner: Yeah well i have an aftermarket cooler and mine goes higher than that.
Other GTS owner: Yeah well ive got mine on water and it goes higher than all of those.
etc...etc...

I think i may just steer clear of those threads when the show up because they will be about as pointless as me overclocking one of my 8800GT cards higher than the other two and claiming its the best card of the three and i paid too much for the other two because they arent as fast. 😀

I totally agree with both of you...:sun:

Just purchased the eVGA G92 GTS (w/Crysis, which I have yet to purchase or play) for ~$364 including shipping from newegg, with the hopes that it will pay off via the step-up program. Good idea? Is there indeed something in the works in the next ~90 days for Nvidia? So much self-doubting...:-/

Nvidia is supposed to release the HIGH END geforce 9 cards in the next 3 monthes...

The G92 is a precursor to the geforce 9 (the geforce 9 will have DX10.1, so the G92 is basically incomplete geforce 9)... I think the G92 is what eventually will become the mid range geforce9... so you can expect a pretty large imprevement as long as they stay on schedule... (although, I think it might be set for march, in which case you might miss it by a few days)

To those who ordered from The Nerds, I'm sorry to report your GTS won't come with Crysis.

512-P3-N841-AR is what they sold

512-P3-N841-A3 comes with Crysis

Live and learn. At least the price was on par, and it shipped direct from EVGA.

Eh, no biggie. I'll play my borrowed copy until I get around to buying my own.

And funny enough this time it really is a borrowed copy since a friend at my church was done with it.

My card arrives tomorrow! this means I will get it out, bask in it's glory, then turn around and give it to my to wrap for Christmas 🙁 Ah well, with 60+ hour work weeks right now it's not like I have much time to play anyway. Plus I'm back into sim city 4 at the moment and my 7800GT has no issues with that.
