I have everything set up and running, but for some stupid reason, two of the folders I linked to, they won't work. I'm using the virtual file linking system. And I already double checked all the links and it won't work. The other links in that text file work just these two. You can click on them, but it shows up as nothing being in the folder. Anyone have a similar experience?

By the way, what security or options should I know about this program? First time using it... thanks 🙂

Im fairly new with teh program too. Make sure your group properties allow you to do what you want the user to do. Other than that I cant give more information. I have been using it for about a month now and its a great program.

did you create a shortcut and put it in the home directory? and then give give access rights to those folders?

I gave access rights to the folders, and I'm not sure what you mean by shortcut. I have it in the links.txt file I use for the virtual links. All the other links work except these two...

ICQ me if you ever have a chance. Links has always been a problems for people first start running a server... It would be easier if you create short cuts rather than links file.

I don't like G6 I was downloading a bin and it disconnected me a cuple times and I resumed but messed up the bin and I burned it and then the program wouldn't install. Serv-u is pretty relibable.

Hmmm, so I can just create shortcuts in my main directory to the folders? That'll work too? Thanks... sorry don't use ICQ... I'll try it out later tonight...

update: nope, didn't work... can you elaborate on what you meant?

create a shortcuts to the folder that you want and then put it in the home directory(the folder that you see when you first login). And then in account just where it says links and messages check links to add to directories, treat as Vitrual Directories, and also check Windows resolve shortcuts.

Man, this is weird... I got the links working like you said, but nothing comes up again when I go into those folders, no content listing... damn.
