G5 weights

I just bought a G5 at Future Shop for $29.99, awesome deal.

Anyway I love the idea of the weight system, and was wondering what some other people are using for weight loadout? Currently I have 18g in there and will probably lighten it a bit as it's a little difficult to pick up.

Hmm what are your choices? Is 18 the heaviest? I have a G7 so I can't give you a direct comparison but I like heavier mice, especially for FPS duty, for me it allows more control.

i don't use any weights in mine.

I currently have 2x 4.5g in mine placed in the middle left and middle right.

It's not that useful to have a weighted cartridge, but it is a decent idea as I do like a little more heft to the mouse than without. I can tell right away when the 9g weights + cartridge is removed versus when it is in there. So for gaming, especially fast-paced FPS games, it is nice to have the option, depending on user preference for light or heavy.

I use this layout:

Had to do it in a square although it's a different shape than that, but that's how much I use and the pattern for the ULTIMATE WEIGHTAGE.

Fully loaded I can add 36g, which I already tried and is way too much.

I use an MX1000 (previously an MX700) and I love the weight of it as it is... Funny my friends always complained about the weight of it but here people are adding weights to their mice...

Oh man, nooo... Was planning on picking one up recently, but held back cause I was light on cash. Just checked FS, they're sold out online🙁.

Edit: Psh, forget it. Apparently two local stores have it, but I'm probably going to hold back cause I'm blowing way too much.

I don't like the weights in mine just yet. Maybe after I get used to it a bit.
