G400 Sony Monitor brightness problem:( at 0 setting and black still isn't black, what gives:P

well so much for sony quality again eh? i guess over time i've kept cranking it lower and lower to compensate, its like the monitor is getting brighter and brighter. contrast remains at full, but brightness is now at lowest possible and blacks are still a bit grey anyone know if this is some weird bug?

its not my vid card, checked the settings for contrast/brightness, those don't help.

I call you lucky, all my monitors get darker and darker with time.

Try the obvios, set both contrast and brightness all the way down and then move them up slowly untill you are happy with the image.

heh doesn't work contrast works normal, but the brightness slider now calls 50% 0%. while it doesn't look horrible its a bit tiring on the eyes. contrast only makes the image faded, but its still super bright

Nefrodite, I've had my G400 for more than a year and haven't had any problems w/ it, except for picking it up and putting it my desk Maybe you're spending too much time looking at your monitor w/o resting your eyes

hehe i wish but many people that see my monitor tell me that my brightness is off
