wow, do you know how much a project like this costs on top of the regular sticker for a G35?

If I had the money, my dream would be to Take a brand new Toyota Camry, swap out the powertrain for the most powerful thing I could fit, but leave the car looking completely stock on the outside ( with maybe upgraded brakes/suspension ).

The car wouldn't be a camry any more but I think it'd be pretty damn fun 🙂

haha, i keep telling my friends i'm going to do that to my 95 camry. just need to get a new suspension, do an engine swap... there's plenty of room. only thing is.. it's auto... that and it's a huge waste of money 😛

I suppose you are right if you think that spending 40k on a rebadged Nissan is a great idea. Here's a free hint: no one really cares if you put 280hp in a car and call it a luxury car when the quality isn't even there.

Here's a free hint: The cars are selling very well. In regards to badging I'm not sure you understand that acura/honda, toyota/lexus, audi/vw, etc. all do the same thing.

humm... where's the intercooler?

Pic 7. Althought it is quite obstructed. Knowing my uncle and his style, he most likely doesn't want to change the body much, if at all. Which to me, makes no sense since there is hardly any airflow to the intercooler. I should have a contact email address for him later today. Emailed my aunt asking for it, but it's not even 5am there yet.

Very nice. I was looking at getting a G35 Coupe as my next car with a lot of options. However, I didn't know they came in Twin Turbo! What's the gas mileage on that thing?

They don't come with it as an option; it's aftermarket!

Aww SUCKS. I knew it must've been something when I looked for it on the manufacturer's site.

That's pretty sweet. Too bad that FMIC isn't getting much air, he needs a new front bumper. Then he'll make even more power.

im not sure what you are talking about quality wise. i'd have to say that the g35 is better than 98% of the cars out on the road.

i have a g35 coupe. there is one thing i think is sub pay on it, and its that the hood prop, is a normal stick one and not hydraulic. thats about it, pretty small.

I think he's comparing it to other luxury cars in general, which is not really a great thing to do, considering its reliability is better than products from mercedes, BMW.

Question: What do lexus, acura, bmw, mercedes, jaguar, and porsche all have in common?
Answer: They score worse than Infiniti on customer service

Nice numbers for 5.5 psi of boost.

The only reason the numbers seem high on 5.5 psi of boost is because the compression ratio is so high. He couldn't run much more boost if he wanted to. That's not the proper way to do it.

I know on Z's like mine, the guys who turbo their NA's the cheap and dirty way put out better power at lower boost than the TT's do. But the difference is that the NA's can't turn up their boost much, while the TT's can. In addition, the NA lacks many important improvements that makes the engine reliable under boost, such as lower compression ratio, upgraded oil pump, exhaust valves made of inconel instead of stainless, different piston squirters, different piston design for better cooling, different cams, etc.

i thought the Nissan Z was almost 300HP all on it's own...twin turbo only got it to 335?

The 6 speed MT is rated at 298 at the crank. Dyno'd, this car puts down 335 actual hp at the wheels. If you were to dyno a stock G35, it'd be a bit lower than 298hp.

http://www.dynoperformance.com/ shows a stock 6MT G35 dyno'ing at 228 at the wheels.
