If you had a choice, which one would you choose and why?

Don't say BMW 'coz it gets all the wiMMinz but in terms tech specs, which one would you choose?
 
i was gonna say M3 just for the reason you said not to say, but then you made us choose for a different reason which basically leaves no choice... Especially if you can get a CSL...
 
This isn't even a close call. The G35 is nice, but the M3 handles a million times better. That, and the I-6 in the M3 is pure sex.
 
The M3 is about $20G more so im assuming money doesnt matter??

if i'm buying it? the G35c

if they are both free? i'd pick the M3 because it's german.

now if you can pick between the M3 or the S4, that'd be more interesting.

M3 is faster, better looking, handles better, is more sophisticated, and is the ultimate driving machine. its a no-brainer
 
If price was an issue then yes, I guess the G35 is the better choice.

But I'm trying to convince a fool that the M3 is actually a good vehicle.

What is 60 time on a G35?

better looking?? i dont think so i would pick the M3 too but the G35 is better looking!!
 
It's not just about power, though (might want to compare torque numbers, since horsepower is for the high end stuff, and torque has to do with the off the line stuff).

The M3 handles better, is a bit sharper looking (although I'm not saying the G35 is ugly by any means). I DO dig the throaty growl that the G35 has, but having personally looked at both, and test drove both (when I was shopping for my 760Li, just to entertain the option of going that direction, instead of the sedan), the M3 is better overall (plus, the BMW maintenance being paid for sure doesn't hurt, either).

M3 - 333bhp/7900RPM 262lb/ft/4900RPM
G35 - 298bhp/4800RPM 260lb/ft/4800RPM (this is the 6SMT)
M5 - 500bhp 383lb/ft (estimated)

 
a better comparison will be a
2007 M3 (400+hp)
vs
2007 Infiniti GT-R (400+hp)

i cant wait!!! 😀
