They have a new Jetfire out in the "Armada" series. He's all plastic and a space shuttle🙁


I have 3 of the original Jetfire's though. One is near mint with box (These things were going for between $400-$600 about a year or so ago). My second one belongs to my son to play with, and the third has been totally disassembled for a full restoration😀.

My son has an equal amount of new Transformers and my old one's. He prefers playing with my old one's. I overheard the neighbor kid telling my son that he was cooler because he had the new (read "crap") Unicron. My son proceeded to ask him how many "Gen One's" he had and the kid just looked retarded.

Next up for restoration, my old Shockwave (the olny old school Transformer I know of that had a 9volt battery!).

The stunticons formed Menosaur and the Combaticons formed Bruticus. And ofcourse Constructions formed Devastor. Sorry have to keep the G1 facts straight.

I suggest check ebay. There are some nice combo deals with all of these reissues where you can find sometimes 3 for $50, much better deal. Also they offer the takara versions which are MUCH more limited, use more die-cast, and gain value at a much faster rate.

There is also a better Unicron only avail in Jap going on Ebay that is much nicer than the Armada junk. If you love G1 Trans, read the Dreamwave comics!!! The are incredible. Even Armada, now Energon is pretty good.

I remember M.A.S.K. That was a pretty fun cartoon to watch as a kid, and Voltron and Tranzor Z and He-Man and.... Damn, wish Cartoon Network showed those cartoons again.

If i only knew these things would turn out to be collectors items i would have brought my Fortress Maximus with me from home. I only played with it once and kept it in the box since.

Back then my mom bought it for me for $89 (still has price tag on the box) - it seems they're going for well over $400 on E-Bay now. :Q

Fortress Maximus goes for roughly $1,000 on ebay (maybe more if you hype it up with good pictures) if he's unopened and the box is in good condition.

Hi. They have rereleased Megatron, Soundwave, and a few more G1 in Japan. Check ebay for a Megatron, It's around $60. As for this thread, it is not a hot deal unless you have a coupon. They re-released the bandai macross valkyries which are way better than Jetfire. Check it out.

Visit your local TRU. These overpriced reissues aren't selling very fast at $30 or $35. In many cases, you can get the Japanese reissues (which are better IMO) for less.

As it is, I have a hard time spending $30 on a toy that cost me only $10 back in the 80's.
