G.Skill TridentX DDR3 2666MHz 8GB Memory Kit

8GB DDR3 for $170 bucks is just a complete waste of money. I find it ironic that people who use workstations which actually take advantage of more memory bandwidth will never buy this ram or a Z77 board at all. And I love how they only show screenshots of AIDA64! :biggrin:

Any sane person would take that cash and get a X79, opteron, etc.

Definitely a waste. Though a more valid and pleasing point could be about how rapidly the process is maturing. Now we just need Samsung to release 20nm 1.35v 8GB sticks asap. 🙂
 
I am using 1333 ram /shrug. Rather pay $70 for 16 gigs of ram and spend money on a fast SSD! Hence I got a new OS 128 GB drive.
