I know its not labeled as Low-Profile but will the sniper series fit under a Noctua NH-D14 cooler? i was going to get the corsair vengeance RAM but its heatsinks are too big and they are sold out of the low profile version.

Thanks

Also if it makes a difference I am going with the EVGA Z68 FTW E-ATX mobo

It's not a fish, but I can teach you to fish...

"The NH-D14 provides 44mm clearance for near-socket components"

Step 2. Locate and view diagrams for the physical dimensions of any memory you're considering.
Step 3. Remember that the DIMM slots hold the bottom of the modules up off the MB surface just a bit.
Step 4. Do the calculations.

BTW, I would only purchase DDR3 rated at 1.5v or lower.

I wish memory came with low profile heatsinks standard, my Mugen 2 fan has to sit a bit higher thanks to my ram :|

The G.Skill Sniper series DDR3 1600 has a voltage range of 1.25-1.6v

I see what you are saying, it has a range for voltage. The ones I'm looking at on the egg have 1.5, i also noticed they have an Arctic White version with a lower voltage.

The original Sniper sticks (which I got back in March) were a lot more like the new Vengeance ones -- didn't have the guns, just a flat top and pictures of deep woods on the sides, probably a reference to Crysis. Too bad they don't make them like that any longer; they fit under the Silver Arrow.

I have 24 GB of the new Gskill sniper ram in my system and they fit under my HSF in my sig which is lower than the D14 if i recall correctly, it's a near thing though.

Thank you, it also seems the Ripjaw series will fit as well, so long as i dont get the X version.
