G.SKILL (2 x 2GB) DDR2 PC2 8000 129$

Next week is this is still up these babies are going in 8gigs on my new OC q6600
Interestingly Gskill has been leaving comments on reviews for their ddr2800 ram pointing users to this stuff.
WTB future machine to drive prices lower.

you may as well grab 2 sets, fill up all those slots 😉

BTW: this thread should be 5 star. This ram is capable of 1100 MHz and remember, it's 4 gigs that occupies only 2 slots. $28.50 per GB is as good as it gets for this quality.

It's promos chips so supposed to be more reliable than D9 from what I've read, I'm still keeping my 4x 1gb Balistix for benching as they go way farther than this kit, but for the price these can't be beat for 4gb of overclocking memory.

I bought my first set when they were $189 a pair, and I don't regret that purchase since these sticks ROCK. I told myself when they got down to $99 I would get another set.

Now I'll have 8GB of DDR2-1000 in my machine. 😀

This is GREAT RAM. True, it won't OC much past about 1070MHz, but then again it's already pretty high-clocked to begin with. And I've recommended this RAM to all of my friends and they love it.

Crap, I have the PC2-6400 / 800 Mhz sticks that I got for $89. Who thinks I should buy these and eBay my others?

I have an e8400 clocked to 3.9 with my current RAM @ 434/868 Mhz

Thanks for the bump. Forwarded the link to my bro and he picked up 2 kits for his new build. There's also a very good deal on some Corsair Dominators but this kit is cheaper and doesn't involve any rebates.
