Lol way to double down on stupid!! For one YOU apparently don’t know what “catch and release” means. I’ll clue your dumb ass in; it refers to detaining and releasing to the interior those who are seeking asylum or are low risk such as children.

What your dumb ass failed to read, despite the information being handed to you was:

I dare you to triple down on your stupidity.
It goes beyond stupid at this point, these people are just shitty people

As an immigrant originally from New Zealand, I have to say there really is a (thankfully) small subset of people that hate immigrants regardless of their status. I've had people openly turn hostile as soon as they hear me speak. No doubt all these people are Trumpers who have never had an immigrant in their entire family tree. They magically manifested here at some point clearly.

Pretty much. Just funny that our country was founded basically due to taxation without representation and now conservatives push for the same thing. The irony is lost on them
There's no irony. It's because the conservatives of 1776 supported King George, just like the conservatives of today would support a King Trump. And for the same reasons, as the purpose of monarchy is to acquire and retain political power even in the absence of popular support.

Meanwhile, the 8th grievance in the indictment of King George in the Declaration of Independence was that he was preventing immigration to the Colonies. Immigration is as much a part of our great nation's founding as was a revolt against taxation without representation.

They sure do love our founding fathers though and find no fault in anything they ever did. Fence sitters?

Historical revisionists. I recall a couple years ago seeing this right-wing propaganda mouthpiece on twitter pushing God, country, and capitalism using the handle of Thomas Paine, a radical atheist and socialist who was influential in a revolution against his country.

It's both amusing and sad that conservatives keep claiming the investigation into Trump's campaign colluding with the Russians was illegitimate when we literally have Trump's own son declaring his intention to collude in writing.

Agreed, definitely both. Coked up Jr is the gift that keeps giving. I love it every time he tries to act or sound smart (especially in the summer). Manafort, Gates, Misha Flynn, others, all doing things that just aren't supposed to happen when you call yourself an American, understand what love of country and duty are.

I came upon this fascinating, well organized resource from Politico awhile ago. All 332 people connected to the Trump-Russia investigation, quite an effort towards giving everyone context and background. Nothing short of amazing how bad America got fucked over in 2016. House and Senate republicans let Donald Trump get away with high crimes and treason, and of course it's still underway. The cult that has facilitated it cannot bear to acknowledge it beyond ridicule, yet preach to others about being patriots. That's when a little nausea joins the amusement and sadness, in my experience.

Its a shame people are hostile to you simply because of your accent. Many people where I live dont even speak a lick of English.

Trying to get mad at everyone who speaks differently is futile, so whoever gets mad at you is probably not worth fooling with anyway.

As long as people can speak even basic English, accents do not bother me.

I love threads like this where simple-thinking conservatives crawl out and expose their profound ignorance about the world outside their mentally-deranged bubbles. They truly think the image of a non-citizen starts and stops at the depictions on an I-95 billboard for South of the Border.

I've lived in towns and communities where nearly 40% of the population is "non-citizens." Our PhDs, MDs, engineers, local community leaders, etc. Depriving them of the right to vote in their community is how fascism works.

Look at illiterate conservatives swallow this nonsense as their brains have been tuned to disallow any semblance of barely-advanced thought to intrude upon their happy Pedro billboards.

Damn....when I was routinely cruising I-95, I was sooo tired of those Pedro signs. And just when you think they're going to stop....right as you pass South of the Border....you continue to see Pedro signs, urging you to turn around...it's not too late.....

And if you ever make the mistake to stop in, prepare to be disappointed. Tourist trap supreme with absolutely nothing to see, other than buying gas or fireworks.
