FYI: The Mars Volta tickets on sale

Not sure how big of a following these guys have with you lot but I got mine via presale already. It's at the Aragon, gen ad. Should be awesome.

What isn't awesome is the 14 dollar total rape charge PER ticket from ticket bastard.

If any of you guys are going lmk, I'll be down for some pre-show drinking.

The mars volta put on the absolute worst show I have ever seen in my life, period. They are still to this date, the only band I have ever walked out on.

That's unfortunate, I've seen then multiple times and I have a complete polar opposite reaction to them. You must have caught them on a festival tour. They put on a 3.5 hour show last time they came around. Takes a certain kind of musical taste to appreciate it I supose.

I saw them with system of a down. I thought their albums sounded good. Live, they sounded like they didnt even do soundcheck, and were just sloppy. Just like hey, we're a bunch of guys with instruments, lets all just bang on them for a hour or two, and have our male singer dress up as and shriek like a girl, and call it music.

Probably will be going, with 11 other people. We were going to go to both Michigan dates but since this came up our plans might change.

Nice, I'm comin with about 7 people or so, the number keeps growing. A coworker who sits next to me saw my TMV poster in my office and was like 'dude are you going?!'

I haven't gone to one of their shows yet, even though I <3 their music. (lolforumnamelol)

edit: the only time I remember them coming to FL was with SOAD and I didn't know about it til too late

edit2: just checked their tour dates.. no FL. bastages. Maybe next year they'll tour the southern half of the country.

Sucks about FL.. I was sad that they didn't play Chicago with RHCP but I'm glad they're playing at all, they're actually better alone cause they play much longer.

Yeah, I actually prefer they play here alone. I don't hate the RHCP, but they aren't my favorite band either.

i'd love to see them, knowing there are like my favorite band to listen to whenever i am on like... anything. lol
but i've never seen them come to toledo.. might have to catch them if they come to detroit, or columbus since i'll be there for school for the next 4 years.
