Comments:

-I am SO glad Google kept pentaband 3G.
-The Galaxy Nexus is slightly lighter.
-PPI is nearly the same but I am sure the LG's IPS display is better.
-The LG uses Gorilla Glass 2.
-The LG has 2 GB of RAM vs. 1 GB.
-The LG supports GLONASS.
-The LG has better battery and Chipset/CPU/GPU (as it should).
-At least the Galaxy Nexus is a Samsung


Anyone know if/when the Galaxy Nexus will get 4.2?

It does look nice, but I'm not sure if it's enough to make me upgrade from my Galaxy Nexus. The 8gb is tempting. I know people are mad about that amount of storage, but honestly, with all the cloud storage stuff, 8gb is fine.

8GB would be fine, but after formating and system files it is much less.

I think if I install Navigon it would take 1GB+. Not much room for apps and such.

At $299/$349, yes it is. KLP down the road, it's SoC is the best one in Android at launch and we know that wasn't the case with previous Nexus phones. As a matter of fact, other than Exynos 5 there is no better chip on the horizon.

GSM Galaxy Nexus, the used ones at least, get pushed down to the $200 range, not sure what they will do with the ones in their store but the GNex is already a great entry to Android.

EDIT: And no mSD card slot unless my Google-fu is failing me. These features were some of the most revered and championed among Android users, why did they remove them?

I've searched Google's press center and can't find anything with regards to specs.

The official Google Play page states it supports 802.11b/g/n. So, unless someone just forgot to put an "a" in front of those letters, I haven't seen anywhere else that says it supports 5ghz wifi.

Google hasn't had sd card slot since Nexus One I think. Google is all about the Cloud and wants unified storage. This isn't a surprise.

As for the glass back and nonremovable battery, Google wrongly chose form over function. They must heard all the whiners complaining about plastic back. So they followed Apple and did the glass back when plastic and removable battery would've been better. But what can you do other than vote with your wallet. I'm going back and forth whether I want to buy it because of the battery but the low price of the phone is making it hard to resist.

I think it's funny that the Nexus I have has an easily scratched screen but is pretty resistant elsewhere. So how do you improve upon that? Upgrade the screen to gorilla glass and go from plastic to glass on the back... brilliant!

Ok, it says dual-band, but still only lists b/g/n. Why wouldn't it list a/b/g/n which is typically the dead give away that a device is dual-band without having to say "dual-band"?

I think specs described in this link are not correct because they said that nexus4 is compliant with "HSPA+ 42 Mbps"....but in official nexus page (https://play.google.com/store/devices/details?id=nexus_4_16gb) , we can see that the device is compliant with "HSPA+ 21" only (no Dual Carrier).

Yea, definitely go off contract on T-Mo and buy the phone from Google.

Through T-mo - 500mins/unlimited text/2gb data:
69.99(24)+199= 1878.76

Through Google - 500mins/unlimited text/2gb data:
49.99(24)+349= 1548.76

Difference of $330, you could buy another Nexus 4 with the savings...



T-Mo's value plans are easily the best value for a consumer when you're looking at a contract plan. $20 cheaper a month just because they don't subsidize the phone for you. It's what I'm currently on with a family plan and it's 93 a month and that's with me paying 15 a month for the phone I bought for my mom. They do payment plans on phones instead of subsidies for their value plans.
