Just thought I would share my experience if any of you have a similar problem. I just upgraded to an Evga 6800gt and it was working great for about an hour when all of a sudden I got some major high pitch grinding noise from the a fan in my case. After determining it was not a wire settling on my VGA card fan or my chipset fan giving up it?s ghost, I pulled out the card, removed the top plate to the heat sink assemble, and low and behold stuck in the way of the fan was the little round Evga fan sticker fro atop the fan. It had come off and logged itself where it was hitting the fan and causing the noise. So now it is working fine with the original low db level of this card...hope this helps someone 🙂
