FYI: Don't Blend Batteries

Next thing you know, you're going to tell us we shouldn't microwave our batteries either!

The video freezes at the same points every time after a couple seconds of playback; if I see, it plays for another couple seconds, then gets stuck again until I see again. Argh I hate Gizmodo.

That's a Flash bug.

why is peter petrelli blending an iPhone? and why did Hiro Nakamura get it in his face?

I don't get it. They just put lighters in the blender, and it blew up? Shens. Had to have been something to get the flames going.

Else, I have no understanding of science.

Have you ever thrown a plastic lighter on the cement? They explode. I used to do this quite often in my early teen years...

By throw, I mean chuck.

The flint goes into the blender too.
Flint + steel moving at high speed + butane = boom.

A lighter in the microwave can also be amusing. First a flame, then some burn time, then an explosion that blows the door open in a puff of flames and makes a few people in the apartment quad open their doors to look for the small cannon. Oh, it's just some engineering students playing with a microwave. False alarm.
😀
