FYI - "Do Not Spam" lists

I saw this on CNN yesterday:

I just got spammed with GlobalRemove's offer. It's $5 to sign up, but here's the catch. Email spammers (who get you to click on the link to get added to globalremove's database) get $1 if you sign up.

There's no proof this will work either. Most spammers aren't going to use this list to "clean" their lists because they don't care. The list is supposidly encrypted, and people who buy the list agree to not use it to spam those people on it, but we all know how honest spammers are

If you feel like wasting $5, you can just paypal it to me

I can imagine that there will be some idiots that fall for this junk and actually pay $5 to get on *even more* spam lists.

These are of course probably the same people who actually fall for some of the spam and believe that they really can get the best mortgage rates by clicking on a spam mail on a link to "superdealznowzer" or something
