Got a notification from TiVo today.

Same.

They said that My name and email were exposed. Should I be more concerned about this? I don't care too much as long as somebody doesn't wind up hijacking my tivo.

Is it just name and email?

Jesus Christ when you write a check, you give someone your Name, Address, Telephone, Acct#, Routing #, and sometimes your Driver's License #.

But who does that?

Getting hit with phising from Chase-a-likes. Best Buy actually complied with the law and notified us of the breach. Chase did not, I wonder if they can be class-actioned over this? Anyone have an knowledge of data breach notification laws and what the penalties for violating them are?

I just got another one from the Hilton HHonors program as well.

What pisses me off is that I unsubscribed from the e-mail lists from these companies years ago. Why do they still have my e-mail address on file?!?

Still nothing from Capital One.

I don't really see the issue here. Your name and email address and all kinds of other info have probably been sold 10x over by these companies to spammers, er I mean "marketers"
