Chase Card
$6,000 limit

I never use it. I just used it for movies while I was on vacation so they don't close the account.
Due date was on 05/02/2009.
I went to pay my bill today and it says due date is now on 04/22/2009

Scumbags. Good thing I am paying early.

good luck when you are burned by that. Maybe it's improved but I was hit with a month where multiple drafts got repeated.

My bank was helpless. The draftee 'needed to look into it'

I was in NYC with a dead atm card. I had to take a cash advance. (yes I have more options now, I was about 20 at the time and on business at the last minute).

All I got back was my overdrafts covered.

Heh, my Chase (formerly WaMu) card has gone from the 14th, to the 8th. Ah well, the balance is 0 so it doesn't bug me much. I could see how it could suck though.

You got burned by a credit card autopayment?

I never have and would always recommend people use this method for cc's.

The only people who get burned are those who use "BillPay" from their bank instead of setting up auto debit from the credit card company directly.

There are enough horror stories just like mine out there. Problem is a bank is not quick to refill your account should the charges be correct.

My two situations were 1) due to a divorce...my ex-wife opened her own account after it and then started writing bad checks...the branch manager decides since she was once linked to my accounts to just apply her drafts to mine. It was a pretty big deal involving an attorney and an actual call from their CEO...the second was due to a misfiring of a billing system that applied 20 or so drafts at one time.

Both times though I was away on business and were on my main account.

Mine were before billpay existed .

They've been gradually moving mine up a day here, a day there, over the past several months.

Thanks, I've seen your thread title several times as I flip thru the topics and just for the heck of it I decided to check my WaMu account and WHAM, yep, due date changed from beginning of May to 04/19/2009 - that's TODAY.

I've actually found a WaMu/Chase branch that's open on Sundays so I can take care of it.

Insert angry profanity here. I haven't even gotten my bill yet.
