Just letting all you android users know that you can now download words with friends on your favorite OS.

This game is great, and you can even play with your friends who have iPhones. Cross OS functionality, AMAZING.

Game is basically scrabble. I give it two thumbs up. Playing around 10 games right now.

My name is the same on words with friends as my AT moniker if you wanna play me :p

Is it as bad as the reviews say? I loved it on my iTouch, but the Android reviews make it seem like a really bad port. No notifications?

I have no clue. I have iPhone, but WWF is the game I play the most on it. Want to spread the love cuz this game rules.

there is notification icon but it doesnt sound/vibrate and there isnt an option to change it. it crashes once in a blue moon. menu key does nothing and i had to lower the sound using androids settings or an app as you could only adjust the volume while it was playing a sound or else it just lowers ringer volume.

but everyone i know uses it and the game play is fine with the exception of those issues. its staying and i just hope those bug improvements come quick along with a pay version so i dont have to see ad's after every time i play a word.

I see

so can android users play against apple users, or am I safe in assuming they're completely separate?

edit: I didn't read the full OP, I guess you can. That's pretty awesome.

It's a little glitchy (force closes and notifications not always showing up) but the core is fine. An update should fix these things pretty quickly.

I will gladly pay a few bucks to remove ads once the glitches are fixed. The ad implementation is...not good.

I think I prefer Wordsmith (at least for hot seat multiplayer). Words with Friends doesn't hide the tiles after you submit your word. Not that big a deal I suppose. A bigger deal are that the ads are more intrusive than they are with Wordsmith.

The game is fine but the notifications don't seem to work for me on a Samsung Vibrant.

Played this weekend. Kept hard locking my phone. I could play maybe 3 turns, then it would lock up. Had to pull the battery and restart.
Notification doesn't work correctly. Only shows up about half the time.
